Our Name

Our business name is dedicated to a very special family member that sadly passed away in 2020.

The word Dacelo is the Scientific name for a Kookaburra.

Growing up, myself and my Grandfather had a little connection with Kookaburra's. While camping, we would often come across a very friendly little Kookaburra. From there, the love for Kookaburra's began between our family. 

Being in the bush, is calming and relaxing. There is no distractions and you are able to completely escape from the stresses of life.

Often, those that hear a Kookaburra laugh, find themselves smiling.

Since the passing of my Grandfather, I often hear Kookaburra's laughing away and I instantly smile. Although many do not believe in signs from the deceased, I know it is his little way of showing me he is still there. 

Although all in my life have always been proud of my achievements, my Grandfather always made it known just how proud of me he was with my business. He always offered encouragement and support whenever needed. 

My Grandfather was my best friend growing up and his death was and still is very difficult to deal with. 

Due to continuous support my Grandfather gave me throughout my life, everything he taught me and always being there for me, I wanted to dedicate something small to him. xx
